Our resort is located on the south shore of Houghton Lake in zone 9, 14 miles west of I-75. We are located near some of the best fishing in the lake. We offer a clean, well kept resort. We have four cabins, two 2 bedroom and two 3 bedroom cabins. One of the cabins is a log cabin with a natural fireplace. Each of the housekeeping cabins have complete kitchen facilities including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and cooking utensils. Each one also has a gas furnace, bathroom with shower, table, chairs, futons/sofas and TV with cable. Both of t
he two bedroom cabins have recent additions added making for extra sleeping or lounging area. We provide bed linens, guests just need to bring their own towels and paper products. We ask a limit of no more than 8 people per cabin. Outdoors we have a 100 foot of sandy beach and a 150 ft dock. A 14 ft aluminum rowboat is available for each cabin. We have 1 boat per cabin. We have a large firepit close to the beach for bonfires, charcoal grills are available, picnic tables, wooden swings and a fort type swing/slide for smaller children. A small concrete basketball court is available for everyone to enjoy as well as a paddleboat. A 
pontoon boat is also available for rent along with Evinrude outboard motors for the rowboats if needed. Fishermen will enjoy an enclosed fish cleaning house with running water and electricity to clean their catch.
Winter guests will enjoy excellent ice fishing opportunities and snowmobilers have access to many groomed trails close by. The annual tip-up-town USA festival occurs every 3rd and 4th weekend in January. The parade passes right in front of the resort! We are only 3/4 of a mile away from the official site. We have an excellent view of the fireworks display.
Other area activities include golfing (3 beautiful courses nearby), miniature golf, go-karts, movie theater, many gift shops, great restaurants, nearby ORV trails, biking, and canoeing. Merritt Speedway is just 15 minutes away for Saturday night dirt track racing also. Hiking and cross country ski trails are within twenty minutes. Kids will love the nearby amusement park with water slides, video games, and bumper boats.
We rent by the week during the summer months, from mid June to mid August. Our weeks run Saturday to Saturday. The rates range from $555.00 to $625.00 per week depending on the cabin. Nightly rates range from $65.00 to $85.00 also depending on the cabin. Please call for tip-up-town rates. We are flexible with check in and check out times as long as nobody is waiting for a cabin the same day.
